Swedish home and furniture store IKEA has launched it’s new advertising campaign with the help of 100 cats! Advertising agency Mother London came up with the original concept for the ad, in which 100 cats are released into the IKEA Wembley store, along with the new slogan of ‘happy inside’.

Paul Manning appeared in a Panorama episode called Britain’s Unwanted Pets after BBC staff read his letter in the Veterinary Times. In his letter he stated he euthanised 100 unwanted dogs annually, most being Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

Tom Heap investigates this story through the Battersea Dogs Home, with a shocking insight to the severity of this problem. The rehoming centre had to put down over one third of the dogs they took in last year, just over 2,800 animals, 1,931 of which were fit & healthy.
