Larry has had a tough 10 days since moving into No.10 Downing street, after being rescued from Battersea Cats home. Larry who is 4 years old, has been catching up on some well deserved sleep, whilst critics have complained that he’s not started work on tackling the vermin issue he was brought in for. Rumours have also been circulating that he’s been leaving a few hairs on the PM’s best suits, and showing his claws to a few assistants in Number 10!

Despite the negative remarks, a spokesman defended Larry by pointing out that it was too soon to expect him to have started work with the rats since he’s not been allowed outside yet, and is still completing a 2-week indoor period to settle in.

However, the spokesman went on to say that Larry has expressed a keen interest in exploring the grounds and as soon as he is allowed out, we’re sure he won’t disappoint in his new role clearing out the rats at Downing Street!
