    I thought that M&S was the best pet insurance when i took it out in 2005 for my golden retriever at only £11 a month with no excess claiming was great. But then all changed they suddenly after a couple of years upped the premiums and added an excess they have just quoted me £60 a month!!! so even with an existing condition of a skin allergy i will be leaving them.

    I am amazed that M & S is the winner. Like Samantha, we also took out pet insurance for our black labrador in 2005 with M & S for £10 a month with no excess. After two years, the premiums soared and this year they are wanting £59 a month for renewal. Outragious – I shall be leaving them and am considering VetsMediCover for £18 a month and high cover where it is important, but I am still researching as this is a very new insurance.
